Why Cindy started this

I'm Cindy Keyes. I've spent over 20 years in beauty, including time at L’Oréal, ZO Skin Health, and IMAGE. My roles have ranged from sales to VP and executive team positions.

Today, I'm a provider myself, and I run MATRX Collective, a recruiting and consulting firm for professional beauty brands commercializing in the US.

I've seen the resources large companies and franchises have, and I've met so many talented independent providers who don't have that same support.

I started by making one-on-one introductions, but I quickly realized how many more connections were waiting to be made. So I decided to bring us together: to share what we know, support each other's businesses, and build things side by side.

I don't believe we need to compete. Each of us brings different strengths, and there are clients for everyone. The more we lift each other up, the more we all grow.

That's what these brunches and events are for: meeting others in the industry, talking shop, sharing referrals and resources, and finding ways to collaborate. This community will take shape around the people in it.
